Paperclip Completes Acquisition of Apis Productions
The strategic acquisition expands Paperclip’s digital insurance-distribution solutions, industry relationships, and technology-enabled services
HACKENSACK, N.J., Oct. 21, 2026 – Paperclip, Inc. (OTC: PCPJ), an insurance technology company focused on secure data exchange, document intelligence, workflow, and orchestration solutions, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of substantially all the operating assets of Apis Productions, LLC.
The acquired business will operate as Apis Technologies, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Paperclip. This structure is designed to preserve the established identity, customer relationships, and specialized capabilities of Apis while providing the subsidiary access to Paperclip’s resources, technology platform, and broader insurance-industry relationships.
Apis brings complementary capabilities spanning insurance-industry websites and portals; a seamlessly integrated connectivity network linking most leading insurance technology platforms; hosting and security; custom application development; marketing; and AI consulting services. The acquisition strengthens Paperclip’s ability to connect insurance carriers, distributors, BGAs, IMOs, producers, and solution providers through more seamless digital experiences and technology-enabled services.
“The acquisition of Apis represents an important step in Paperclip’s evolution into a broader, connected insurance technology platform,” said Ron Alexander, Chief Executive Officer of Paperclip. “Apis brings strong customer relationships, deep insurance-distribution expertise, and valuable digital capabilities that complement our strengths in secure data exchange, document intelligence, workflow, and orchestration. Together, we can serve customers more comprehensively and accelerate our vision for a more connected, secure, and intelligent insurance ecosystem.”
Customer continuity across all entities will remain a central priority. Paperclip will continue supporting existing Apis customers, projects, products, and service commitments while thoughtfully introducing the broader capabilities of the combined organization. No immediate change to the Apis operating model is planned.
Peri Lane, founder and current CEO of Apis Productions, will continue to lead the day-to-day operations of Apis Technologies as its President.
“This combination creates an exciting opportunity for our customers, our team, and the insurance community we serve,” said Peri Lane, President of Apis Technologies. “Paperclip shares our commitment to practical innovation, strong customer relationships, and helping insurance organizations connect and grow. By bringing together Apis’ digital and distribution capabilities with Paperclip’s secure data and platform technologies, we will be able to deliver greater value while preserving the responsiveness and industry focus that our customers expect.”
The strategic acquisition brings together two organizations with complementary capabilities serving many of the same participants across the insurance ecosystem. The combination creates opportunities to expand customer value, introduce new solutions, deepen strategic relationships, and help insurers and distributors reduce the fragmentation that exists across data, systems, and workflows.
Integration of Apis and Paperclip will occur in stages, with an initial focus on customer and employee continuity, knowledge transfer, operational alignment, and identifying opportunities to bring the companies’ solutions to a broader market.
