The VP of Sales is responsible for and expected to drive sales excellence and revenue growth by identifying and establishing best practices across the entire sales process including prospecting, pipeline planning and forecasting and sales cycle management. The VP of Sales will excel at recruiting, leading, and developing Betterview’s sales team, including the creation and execution of sales strategies and budget. As a member of the Executive team, this position reports directly to the COO.



Recruit, manage and motivate experienced sales talent; provide direction, develop and oversee Betterview’s national sales team.
Establishes sales strategy and initiatives to maximize profit; plans and directs sale’s policies, objectives and best practices.
Supports the sales team in closing deals; has the ability to spot issues and proactively address them to ensure a successful sale on optimal terms.
Identifies and develops appropriate individual sales plans to meet revenue goals; responsible for ensuring maximum sales volume of services.
Establishes own targets and sales goals with input from company leadership.
Manages all aspects of the sales function including the sales team, sales engineers, and value consulting.
Builds a sales culture that supports Betterview’s core values.
Works closely with Demand Generation and Marketing to ensure strategic alignment and effective sales support to the marketing team.
Creates revenue forecasts and sales budgets; systematically tracks and reports on the forecasts and budgets.
Refines and/or creates new systems, processes, and infrastructure to support the sales strategy and enable the sales team to deliver results.


Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred.
5+ years experience in sales management/leadership/VP of Sales, with experience in tech-enabled and/or SaaSorganization required.
10+ years experience building and managing scalable sales teams and personally responsible for hiring teams in past roles.
The successful candidate:

Demonstrated experience recruiting and building a strong sales team. Hired/scaled team of 10+ Field Sales team members in addition to sales support staff (i.e. Sales Engineers, Sales Operations, Business Development, Value Consulting, etc.)
Proven track record of successfully scaling revenue through multiple stages of company growth doubling every year.
In-depth understanding of a B2B SaaS company and scaling sales functions as such.
Understands the value of engaging all team players in order to maximize revenue per lead.
Experience managing Salesforce Sales Cloud to manage sales processes.
Ability to build strong relationships with customers and other key stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills to identify and manage the sales organization by key metrics like win rates, sales cycle times, ACV, LTV:CAC, and gross margin.
Desire to make a profound impact on a company’s growth trajectory.
Positive attitude and a willingness to do what it takes to be a significant contributor to a fast-moving team.
