Your responsibility will be to develop and close new business in the US market specifically targeting (Insurance carriers, Mortgage lenders and Digital affinity groups). Must be able to demonstrate success building relationships at the Executive and C level. You will help to shape the direction of the Digital Distribution channel and be the face of the channel in the respective markets promoting value proposition and overall digital capabilities. Your success will be measured through the winning of new business deals and new business premium generated once the new partners are brought on board. You will need to have significant experience personally developing new business opportunities and managing a pipeline of potential prospects. This strategic position will work closely with the VP and Head of Digital Distribution to execute on the strategy and growth agenda for this new digital channel.
Core responsibilities include:
Personally (hands on) develop new (Digital Distribution) business opportunities (Corporate B2B Partnerships) targeting (life insurance carriers, P&C carriers, mortgage lenders, banks and digital affinity groups).
Manage a pipeline of prospective new business opportunities from the initial engagement (RFP’s) through to program launch (on boarding). Continuously gather market intelligence to understand business challenges and to create innovative solutions for these problems.
Along with the VP, develop and execute strategies, leverage the existing digital platform, innovate and lead workshop style meetings to leverage corporate resources.
Work closely with Marketing to develop and maintain effective presentations for new business meetings, pitch decks, internal digital-specific presentations and industry meeting presentations.
Conduct sales meetings with potential partners with a combination of home office, web based meetings, off-site conferences, trade shows and office visits.
Help to shape the design, development and execution of Digital marketing initiatives including: products, services and related sales materials
Requires nationwide travel. Approximately 50% depending on corporate needs and travel restrictions.
Required Skills and Knowledge
Strong sales, prospecting and business development skills (insurance, banks and mortgage industries)
Strategic level communicator and relationship builder with an extensive network of contacts within the industry to draw from.
Strong computer skills, with knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and presentations
Ability to manage multiple projects with focus on individual delivery dates
Ability to train small groups on key research findings
Education: Bachelor degree in business, marketing, sales or related field
Strong preference for knowledge/experience with Life Insurance company operations (customer service, information systems, marketing, sales, underwriting, etc.)
This is a full time permanent role and will require up to 50% travel depending on Covid restrictions.
